Recipe: Sushi bowl
I recently came across a “sushi in a bowl” recipe on TikTok. It looked so good I had to try it for myself!
Simple, healthy-ish, and quick - this is fast becoming a staple mid-week lunch or dinner in our house.
Serves: 1
Ingredients
1/2 cup cooked rice (I like to use brown rice)
1 small tin of tuna, drained (I like Sirena - Chilli tuna in oil)
1/4 continental cucumber, de-seeded and cut into quarters
1/4 avocado, peeled and sliced
1 sheet yaki nori for sushi (seaweed)
Dash of soya sauce
Dash of kewpie mayonnaise
Sprinkle of sesame seeds
Wasabi peas (optional)
Directions
1. Place rice in a serving bowl.
2. Add tuna, cucumber and avocado
3. Add a dash of soya sauce and kewpie mayonnaise
4. Crush the sheet of yaki nori into small pieces over top of the bowl
5. Sprinkle over sesame seeds and wasabi peas.
6. Enjoy!
